Waste collection: increasingly an urban cross-border issue

Uninfluenced by the development of other infrastructure services waste collection is organised much in the same way today as centuries ago. Waste collection is not treated as an integral part of the city?s functions, but merely as a balance item in the urban planning. We store it where we find a place for it and we collect it at hours when it doesn?t disturb the traffic.
