Simtra – Setting the standard of tomorrow

Simtra will latest version of the PathPlanner Roads is called PathPlanner R4. PathPlanner R4 is an application that functions seamlessly in AutoCAD® and MicroStation®. It is a practical and easy to use tool for engineers, urban planners, and land developers. PathPlanner R4 is available in two different versions, The Standard and the Pro version.

The Standard Version is the foundation for every PathPlanner R4 license. It incorporates national standard vehicle libraries for US (AASHTO, CALTRANS), Canada (TAC), UK (FTA), The Netherlands (CROW) and many other countries. A Vehicle Manager allows creating additional vehicles. Both forward and reverse movements can be simulated, even in the same manoeuvre, taking into account vehicle speed and steering characteristics. Swept paths and wheel track surfaces are displayed and the animation of the movement can be viewed in the CAD program.

In the Pro Version you can use the NEW function vertical simulation to simulate for head space and ground clearance. It also offers solid fill of vehicles. Single or multiple simulation sessions can be recorded in an AVI video file that can be played back on any PC. It is very easy to include any number of simulations, define separate start times and static periods and select (real time) animation speed. The video created with the Pro version is a great way to present technical results in a convincing way to higher management or clients. It can also be used for capacity analyses in congested traffic solutions.
