Making the most of Eastern promise

With the enlargement of the EU, it is an appropriate time to consider the challenges facing the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in finding the significant investments still required in the electricity sector.

The example of the Maritza East III project demonstrates that with the right environment, attractive, long-term funding for power projects in CEE can still be raised.
